TEACHING SOCIAL STUDIES IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (3). This course is designed to help students identify and use methods of teaching social studies to elementary school children. It includes development of social studies programs in the elementary school. Prerequisites: HIS 131 or HIS 351-352, HIS 132 and ECO 254, GEO 206, PSY 251.
