REH 309 Psychosocial Aspects
Psychosocial Aspects (3). Students will be provided with an overview of the psychological and social aspects of disability with an emphasis placed on diversity of experience among individuals with disabilities and their families. The impact of social and psychological aspects of disability on public attitudes, public policy, and law will be examined. The adjustment process experience by individuals with disabilities and their families will be examined from the perspective of the individual and social context in which adjustment occurs.
