BIO 618 Virology

Virology (4). This course is primarily concerned with animal viruses. It includes a discussion of virus structure, biochemistry of virus replication, genetics, interference and interferon, host-parasite relationships and tumor viruses. Emphasis will be on the theoretical aspects of the subjects. Prerequisites: General Microbiology (BIO 423), Cell Biology (BIO 337), or instructor's consent.
