Methods and Materials for Elementary School Physical Education (3). A course designed to provide the prospective elementary physical educator with an understanding of the philosophy and objectives of elementary physical education and an understanding of the characteristics of children in grades N-6. Emphasis is placed on the selection of appropriate activities for each grade level, on proper teaching techniques and class management. Students participate in a variety of activities, prepare unit plans and teach lessons from the unit.
