Interventions for Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (3). This course will focus on interventions which will facilitate the teaching and learning process while working with students with emotional/behavioral disorders. Discussion will focus on approaches, methods, and strategies which can be adapted or modified when necessary. Interventions will include: behavioral approach, cognitive approach, educational approach, motivational strategies, instructional methods and areas, e.g., direct instruction, active teaching, and cooperative learning. Peer tutoring, peer mediated approach for social skills, problem solving, moral reasoning, and alternate approaches and therapies, e.g., milieu, crisis intervention, group, drama, music, dance, art.
