International Students
The university cooperates with agencies that support international student study and welcomes inquiries or applications from individual students. In addition to meeting the regular admission requirements, international students must submit the following:
- Satisfactory English proficiency on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System ( IELTS) completed within the last five (5) years
- Minimum satisfactory scores at two levels of proficiency (A & B) have been established for international students reporting either TOEFL or IELTS score reports.
- Students with the following scores may be admitted with the specified conditions.

*In collaboration with the University College, a specific ESL course will be developed for international students with TOEFL or IELTS scores at this level. This course for international graduate students will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
International graduate students who meet the score requirements in Level A may hold a Graduate Assistantship. International graduate students who meet the score requirements in level B may hold a Graduate Assistantship after the admission status conditions have been satisfied. Students from English-Speaking Countries such as Great Britain, Canada (except Quebec), Nigeria, etc. are exempt from English proficiency score requirements.
Additionally, international students who have completed a degree program at a regionally accredited U.S. institution are exempt from English proficiency requirements.
- An official original copy of the student’s college transcript (in English) evaluated by World Education Services (WES).
- A competitive score on the Graduate Record Examination (General) or Miller Analogies Test completed within the last five (5) years.
- An affidavit of Financial Support documenting that the student, parents or sponsoring agencies will provide funds for all expenses.
