HON 304 Junior Honors Research Symposium
JUNIOR HONORS RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM (3). is designed to help students seeking the honors degree at Alabama State University prepare a well-designed research proposal on a selected research topic in his/her field of study, which is original and contributes knowledge to the honors degree. Eventually, this research proposal will lead to his/her senior year final mini-thesis and defend the capstone paper as a project of scholarly worth to the academic field of the student scholar. In this class structure, students will learn how to develop an academic proposal, selection of acceptable research topics, use appropriate research methods and methodology, data collection methods, and conduct research through a variety of mediums: library, published journals, newspapers, books, archival, etc.
