Therapeutic Intervention & Special Topics (3). This course builds upon the material learned in the previous semesters, specifically OTH 5212. As students have completed a thorough course on biomechanics and kinesiology, they are able to apply those concepts in various aspects and concepts of the Occupational Therapy Process, including evaluation and intervention. They are instructed in the performance of special tests and skills that fall into a multitude of practice areas. They will learn principles of splinting, wound care and physical agent modalities. They will be able to apply skills learned in both courses to all appropriate diagnoses, age groups and contexts.
