BIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES AND INSTRUMENTATION (4). A study of the principles, procedures and applications of modern biomedical research techniques and instruments, including radioisotope methodology, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), gel electrophoresis, Western immunoblot, transformation, restriction analysis, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Southern hybridization techniques. Prerequisite: BIO 337. One lecture and two lab periods.
