PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS I (3). A study of the basic economic concepts underlying the structure and functioning of the American economic system, with emphasis on basic macroeconomic analysis. References are also given for issues on contemporary economic problems in areas such as unemployment and poverty, labor relations and economic development. Prerequisite: MAT 136 or MAT 137.
