GEO 206 World Geography
WORLD GEOGRAPHY (3). An examination of the earth in terms of the land, the people and the culture. Current events are integrated into the course as a reinforcement tool. Maps are introduced and explained, and students are instructed in the basic skills necessary for their use and understanding. World landforms, bodies of water, climate and climate regions are presented. Major physical features of the earth are introduced, and the student is required to have an in-depth knowledge about the location and significance of these factors. Honors sections of this course are offered each semester for students enrolled in the Honors Program.
