THERMODYNAMICS (3).  Conservation of Mass, the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, and the Engineering Approach to Problem Solving. Principles of thermal energy conversion; properties of pure substance; work and heat; first law of thermodynamics, control volume, steady state and steady flow process; uniform state and uniform flow process; second law of thermodynamics, entropy, availability; power and refrigeration cycles.  Prerequisites:  CHE 141 and PHY 210.
