Mission

The Department of Biological Sciences offers two undergraduate degrees – B.S. in Biology and B.S. in Marine Biology. Our Bachelor of Science degree in Biology has two different tracks or concentrations – pre-health and basic biology. The pre-health curriculum is for students with a desire to enter a health professionals career and is designed to maximize prerequisites for entry into professional schools. The basic biology curriculum is for any biology major and allows students to choose major electives to tailor their curriculum to a specific career path. Our Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology caters to students interested in more environmental careers with a focus on marine life.
