Academic Advisement

Academic advisement is essential for timely graduation and the success of students at Alabama State University. Although Academic Advisement is not mandatory for most students, it is critical for all students to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor each semester before or during pre-registration to ensure they are adhering to curriculum guidelines for their Major.

Students who are assigned to University College, the Academic Center for Educational Success (A.C.E.S.) and certain majors, may be required to meet with their respective Advisors before enrollment.  Academic Advisement Holds will be placed on designated students for mandatory meetings with their assigned Advisors.
