MGT 563 Entrepreneurship

This course will provide a practical introduction to the launching of a new business enterprise. The course provides a discussion of entrepreneurship theory and research. The major project is a business plan that could be presented to an investor. Topics of discussion include the traits of successful entrepreneurs, idea generation and opportunity recognition, the team, and management/marketing/financial skills needed. The course is designed for those who at some point of their career want to start their own business but can also be useful to those who plan to work in or with small business or are involved with entrepreneurship.
