PTH 6433 Intro Prosthetics and Orthotic
Introduction to Prosthetics & Orthotics (1). This course will examine the causes of upper and lower extremity amputations, indications, and contraindications for orthotic/prosthetic devices. Evaluation and treatment of patients with amputations, selection, ordering, fitting, and training in the use of prosthetic/orthotic devices will also be covered. Guest speakers will be utilized to present topics within their areas of expertise.
