PTH 6444 Intro to PT Mgmt of the Spine
Introduction to Physical Therapy Management of the Spine (1) This course will introduce students to the examination and evaluation of patients with musculoskeletal injuries of the spine. This course will integrate the concepts from embryology, physiology, histology, pathology, and biomechanics to help students understand the scientific basis for the nature of spinal pain and dysfunction. A variety of philosophies and approaches to examination will be discussed. Surgical procedures of the spine will also be introduced.
