PTH 6543 Clinical Orthopedics

Clinical Orthopedics (3). This course is a continuation of PTH 6443, Introduction to Neurological Physical Therapy. The focus is on applying the principles of motor control and motor learning to the evaluation and treatment of motor dysfunction in the adult and pediatric patient with neurologic dysfunction. Current theory and practice of neurotherapeutic exercise including, but not limited to, Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Constraint Induced (CI), Rood, Brunnstrom, Sensory Integration are covered.
