Transfer Within the University

To transfer from University College to a major program, the student will submit a Declaration of Change form with his or her academic adviser. Then, the dean of University College will rule on the student’s eligibility to transfer. Next, the dean of the degree-granting college will review and admit the student to the intended major program.

To transfer from one degree-granting college to another, the student will submit a completed Declaration of Major to the Office of Records and Registration. The form should have signatures of the deans of the colleges involved, and the appropriate academic advisers.

A student may transfer from one curriculum to another within his or her college at any time during the semester, to become effective the following semester. The academic advisers monitor the change to determine if the change promises to be in the best interest of the student, and that all prerequisites have been met when changing from one curriculum to another.
